The Titans
The Titans were engineered to be stronger, faster and smarter than anyone else. A scientist named Lacey Cole had a vision for the future. She wanted people to fear the gods again like in ancient Greece, to bring back order in a chaotic galaxy. Thus she started a project to create gods of her own. She recruited some like minded scientists and engineers and established a research facility on one of Jupiter's moons. She kept the project a secret as best she could and enlisted the help of many smugglers to get the resources she needed without attracting attention. The project had a rough start because of a lack of test subjects, as a result doctor Cole made a deal with an independent prison. She got to pick prisoners for her tests. The endeavor became known as the CHAOS Project.
In the final stages of the project the newly created Titans rebelled against their creators during the Callisto incident.
After the incident the Titans roamed the galaxy for awhile, trying to find a purpose. Eventually they found one. The Titans help people in need to make up for the people lost during the Callisto incident, they do this as free soldiers and do not answer to any government. To most the Titans are a myth. But some have seen them in action and are grateful that such a force exists.
Derrick "Zeus" Hudson

Originally integrated into the CHAOS Project because of his strong leadership skills. He joined the Imperial navy because he could not keep a job but was in need of money. But in times of peace the military really doesn't pay well. So he started doing mercenary work and was eventually arrested. In prison he was approached by doctor Cole and volunteered for the Project. He was callsigned Zeus, after the leader of the Olympic gods. Derrick Hudson united his fellow subjects during the Callisto incident and managed to break free. He now leads fire team Onyx.
Rachel "Athena" Grayson

A.k.A.: Onyx 0-2
A smart woman with great strategic knowledge, this is exactly why doctor Cole recruited her. She was imprisoned because she hacked into the biggest bank of the free systems. Because of her wisdom she was callsigned Athena, after the Greek goddess of wisdom, poetry, art, and the strategic side of war. She is now second in command of fire team Onyx.
Henry "Thanatos" Michaels

Thane
He was once part of a private security force. One day his team was ambushed, they were outnumbered and outgunned. His teammates died one by one until only Henry remained. He used his knowledge of weaponry and engineering against his opponents and managed to defeat them. He was honored for his actions. But Henry, now traumatized, could no longer find peace and he went after the few enemies that got away that awful day. He was imprisoned for murder because those he killed could not be tied to the original force that had ambushed him and his team. Doctor Cole saw a great warrior and recruited him. He was callsigned Thanatos, after the Greek god of war, though his fellow Titans like to refer to him as Thane. He is now part of fire team Onyx.
James "Aries" Porter

A.K.A.: Onyx 0-4
The youngest subject participating in the CHAOS Project, only 19 years old. James had a troubled childhood, his parents were killed when he was two. He had a lot of bad luck, trouble seemed to follow him. He came in contact with the authorities multiple times and was eventually thrown in prison with his brother. Doctor Cole recruited him because of his attitude and loyalty towards his brother. He has a very busy character and his mind is all over the place. Thus he got the callsign Aries, after the Greek god of chaotic war. He is now part of fire team Onyx.
Damocles
The most advanced ship known to mankind. The Damocles is completely self sustaining. It has a state of the art armory, food producing gardens, crew quarters, an infirmary and a large bridge where operations are controlled and decisions are made.
The ship is captained by callsign Atlas, who also runs the missions from above.
There are four soldiers aboard: Zeus, Aries, Thanatos and Athena.
Gaia is in charge of the gardens an provides food for the crew and ingredients to make medicines and cures for the infirmary, which is operated by Artemis. Lastly the armory is under control of Vulcan, who is also in charge of keeping Damocles' systems running and he occasionally flies shuttle OMICRON as well.
The crew is assisted by an AI that listens to the name Clio.
