Terror reign
In the first year of his reign, emperor Bellèc was loved and he gave love in return. But soon his real motives became clear. He wanted to rule the entire human race, he was power hungry. After a decade Bellrose had expanded the imperial navy with five new warfleets and had been training millions of imperial Marines. He made ready for war. Soon he invaded the first free system and annexed it. His subject were shocked by the new war. Some started rebelling against the emperor, whilst others cheered for his expansion. Those who disagreed were imprisoned. After Bellrose took control of the media, it seemed like the Empire was united against the free systems. But this was not true for the Empire had never before been so divided.
The Accident
21 years ago emperor Astor Bellèc and his wife Mavis went on a grand tour across the Empire to present their newly born daughter and heir to the throne Alysia to his subjects, when a terrible accident occurred. The convoy in which they were traveling came to close to a sun because of a failure in the navigation systems. They tried everything to steer away from the sun but their attempts were in vain. All aboard the convoy died, or so it seemed.
After the terrible news had reached the imperial capital Thalassa, the search for a new emperor began. It did not take long to find someone. Astor's closest friend was elected to take the throne. The Empire grieved but the quick election of emperor Bellrose resulted in unity and strength. It seemed like better times were ahead.
The Callisto incident
This was a strange incident that happened on one of Jupiter's moons, Callisto. There was a research facility there under the command of doctor Lacey Cole. One day the communications were suddenly severed and a large explosion followed about 30 minutes later. There were no survivors.
No one knows what happened that they. There was an attempt to salvage the research data but all was lost.
